What happened
A 3-2 win in Philadelphia had the fanbase declaring "This team will never lose again," which is the kind of sentence the hockey gods file away for later. The 4-3 loss in Tampa barely dented the mood, spun instead as "We have not lost a game in regulation this road trip!" with Grubauer praised as the guy who "deserved the win." Then Florida hit 8 in a 3-8 rout, the turning point, and the mood curdled to "Dirty ass team." Still, misery held at 29. Denial is a renewable resource.
