What happened

The Islanders opened the week with two 4-3 road wins, at Nashville and Minnesota, the second leaving one fan marveling that "48" was "magical." Then came Halloween at home, a 0-4 loss to Edmonton that turned the whole week sour. Fans blamed officiating they called "some of the worst" in ages, then turned on their own: "Shut out at home by Tristan Jarry. Have some fucking shame." A 2-1 week, yet the kids in costumes went home with the scariest story.
