What happened

Two games, two losses, and a fanbase that stopped pretending. The shutout to the Rangers on Thursday was the turning point, less for the 0-2 scoreline than for what came with it: sell-the-team chants inside the first ten minutes. One fan called it "one of the worst nights in the Red Wings long history," with "Yzerman, reputation as GM tarnished." Saturday's 2-3 loss to Winnipeg was almost a formality.
