What happened
A western road trip that mostly went right. The 6-3 in Vancouver had the fanbase marveling at Ehlers, who apparently "sacrificed his hat trick chance just to get Stanko another goal." Then Edmonton, 6-5, and the rage was aimed at the officials more than the team, though even there someone shrugged that it was "a fun game to watch." The turn came in St. Louis: a 4-0 shutout that reset everything, misery dropping from 31 to 24. "Dude we're really fuckin good at hockey lol" is a strange sentence to type in October, and they typed it anyway.
