What happened
Two wins opened the week in good spirits: 4-2 over Washington, with Svechnikov drawing the full "AAAAAAAAAAA," then 3-2 in Winnipeg, where Jankowski kept scoring often enough that someone checked the math and found him "shooting 45.5% oh my god." The turn came in Calgary, a 2-3 loss that closed the trip and nudged the mood from smug to twitchy. A 2-1 week, and still the board fixated on penalty kills spending 36% of their time in the offensive zone. Joy here arrives pre-worried.
