What happened
Opening night in Houston went 110-128 and sent the fanbase into eulogy mode, one voice mourning a guy who meant "you always felt you had a shot." Then Indiana, 121-105, the turn of the week: Flagg declared "top 10 player in the world," Sergio's feel called unreal, a second half that "healed me." San Antonio undid some of it at 106-122, leaving 1-2, though Coop's 32 and Sasser still had people shopping for jerseys. Grief has a short memory here.
