Missed the playoffs

Blue Jays fans spent the final stretch blaming a lineup that wasted good pitching, then watched the Baltimore sweep end their wild card hopes and finish 79-83. Bitterness has since softened into wistful farewells and offseason dreams of bringing Kevin Gausman home.

what fans talked about, week by week
Season-long

  • Fans spent all three weeks blaming the bats, from one-run games and Santander jokes to defending Rogers, until report cards showed no hitter above 3.0 WAR.

“Painful loss and almost certainly the end of the WC hopes, but before the fans take out their pitchforks, this was the second HR Rogers has given up in all of 2026. He’s done more than enough for the team. Thanks Rogers”
