What happened

The week opened in triumph: a 7-3 win over Cleveland closed the series and sent one fan impulse-buying a Game 3 ticket, six-hour drive be damned. Then Milwaukee happened. A 2-3 loss where Richie never pinch hit — "such a winnable game" — was the turning point, followed by 4-5 and a checked swing nobody could unsee: "Yandy did not swing." Down 0-2, with "0 runs across the last 8 innings," the Trop dream curdled fast.
