What happened
The 4-3 win on Tuesday bought one more day, pushing it to 1-2 and letting San Diego hate William Contreras in peace — "FUCK YOU CONTRERAS YOU ABSOLUTE TOAD." Then Wednesday's 1-3 elimination loss ended it at 1-3, and the turning point was the offense simply stopping: "seriously didn't have hit after the 3rd inning." Fans counted three hits, counted 2024 and 2025, and reached for the word choking. Somewhere downtown, Milwaukee's tables were waiting, already paid for.
