The emotional rollercoaster
Fan misery across the week, every six hours. Up is worse. Dashed lines are games.
What happened
Six games to close the year, two wins, and a 69-93 finish. The turning point came Friday against Cleveland, a 12-9 loss where, as one fan put it, "walking in three consecutive runs was the lowest point. Just summed up the whole season." Alex Lange drew the loudest boos — "Lange should never step foot on an MLB mound again." Sunday's 3-2 win arrived with Jensen benched, which read to fans as "an insult to the player and to the fans." Mostly they wanted names in a press release, not on a lineup card.
