What happened
Two wins, five losses, and the 99th defeat of the year arrived Sunday in a 1-2 whimper against Seattle. The week's hinge came early: a 9-3 rout of San Diego that produced the only all-caps joy of September, Squirrel Motherfucking Carrigg. Then 3-9, then 2-9, and a fanbase that had just talked itself into caring watched newcomers arrive mid-collapse. Yet misery fell from 74 to 28, because Carrigg exists and Hunter needs two more for 40. Losing hurts less with a reason to look.
