What happened
Four wins in six, and the week that mattered turned on a 1-0 sliver in Boston — "one hell of a fun rookie pitchers duel" — after a 0-1 loss the night before had fans more annoyed at the broadcast than the offense. Kansas City brought scoring, 12-9 and 11-5, the first one somehow still producing "nightmares about the Cleveland Guardians." A 2-3 finish left them 85-77 and headed for "an October with heart attacks." Cleveland knows exactly what that costs.
