The emotional rollercoaster
Fan misery across the week, every six hours. Up is worse. Dashed lines are games.
Worst game: Sat, Sep 26, L 6-9 vs Colorado Rockies
In-game fan misery, every 15 minutes.
What happened
Four wins in six, 84-78, and a fanbase still scanning the out-of-town scoreboard like a hostage. The 14-11 opener in Kansas City soothed nobody; the 4-5 loss that followed had people demanding the opener experiment end. Then came 9-1 and the turn: "playoffs. unfuckinbelievable. i love you all." Naturally, the Rockies took one 9-6 at home — "How do we drop one to the fucking Rockies" — before a 4-2 closer. Joy here arrives with a receipt and a return policy.
