What happened
Four wins in six, an 87-69 record, and somehow the week ended worse than it started. The 9-1 romp in Cincinnati should have been a coronation; instead Bregman went down and misery spiked to 75 on a day the Cubs scored nine runs. Before that, fans had time for lineup theorycrafting about Kelly and PCA, rage at a two-out steal in the 4-6 loss, and one blissful evening when the Phillies lost too. The turning point wasn't a score. It was a hamstring.
