What happened
Washington State lost 20-26 at San Diego State on Halloween, sliding to 1-8 and pushing the misery index from 78 to 86. The turning point was third down, where the defense kept waving the Aztecs through, and a baffling timeout drew all-caps fury. Calls to fire Kirby Moore grew louder, one fan ranked this the worst team since 2008, and another named the feeling: "the old creeping familiarity of badness."
