What happened
Washington State beat Duquesne 48-7, which is roughly what a Big Ten-adjacent roster should do to an FCS visitor, and still the fanbase found a way to spend the afternoon miserable. The turning point was less a play than a realization: once the defense stopped letting a scholarship-limited offense move the ball, the crowd remembered this was supposed to be easy. One fan grumbled that "we're getting shredded by an FCS offense." Another crowed that "the doomers should be ashamed of themselves," then added, "do not look at my comment history." At 1-2, nobody's looking.
