The emotional rollercoaster
USC fans’ misery during the game, every 15 minutes. Up is worse.
What happened
USC went to Happy Valley and left with a 31-23 win, which moved the record to 6-1 and the misery index all the way down to a merely wretched 65. The turning point was the trip itself: winning on the road, in that environment, with that travel, is "just not something LR has done at USC." Fans still filed the opponent under "legitimately garbage" and stared at the defense with "no words." Somewhere beneath the grumbling, a one-loss season is quietly happening.
