Gamecocks won by 17 at Oklahoma, and the room still filed complaints about garbage time and down markers.
The emotional rollercoaster
South Carolina fans’ misery during the game, every 15 minutes. Up is worse.
What happened
South Carolina went to Norman on Halloween and left with a 42-25 win, moving to 5-3. Fans spent the night furious anyway. The turning point was the fourth quarter, dubbed "the teach tape on how not to coach the fourth quarter of a blowout." Sellers drew praise as near "perfect," while Mateer's yards were dismissed as garbage-time padding. The loudest complaint: "This game was not nearly as close as the score indicates." Misery fell to 46, which is what it takes here to enjoy a 17-point road win.
