What happened
Kansas State beat Kansas 35-24 on Saturday, moving to 4-2 and dragging the fanbase off the ledge it had been straddling at a misery reading of 95 a week ago. The turning point was simply the rivalry game arriving on schedule, as it does, with the streak now old enough that, as one fan put it, it "IS A LEGAL ADULT AND CAN VOTE." Dylan Edwards got a special farewell. Contentment here is measured in beatings administered to the neighbors, not standings.
