An 18-point win, and the room still wants the forward pass outlawed and the officiating investigated.
The emotional rollercoaster
Boise State fans’ misery during the game, every 15 minutes. Up is worse.
What happened
Boise State beat Memphis 38-20 and the fanbase got grumpier about it, which is its own kind of achievement. The win moved the Broncos to 1-1, and misery more than doubled anyway. The secondary was the turning point: every Memphis throw seemed to find grass, prompting one fan to declare "The forward pass is Boise State's greatest enemy BAN THE FORWARD PASS." Others blamed the stripes, calling it "Insanely biased reffing, hard to watch." An 18-point win nobody enjoyed is still a win, technically.

“Pass defense still worries me but a 35-3 run to end the game pretty comfortably. I’ll fucking take it! Praise be to our run game! I never want to see Tipton again. Fucking hell, he’s a menace. Those refs were absolutely awful. Railed Boise State in the first half then went in d”
