What happened
Boise State opened at Oregon and left with a 34-27 loss, which somehow counted as a good week. The turning point came after the break, when a halftime lead against the No. 2 team quietly became a seven-point deficit, and the Broncos ran out of possessions before they ran out of belief. The board never turned on them. "Stop dooming lol," one fan wrote, and the replies agreed: "There is no world in which we shouldn't be ranked next week." A 0-1 fanbase has rarely sounded this pleased.
