A win over Vanderbilt did nothing for Hugh Freeze's approval rating, and the broadcast was too dark to enjoy.
What happened
Auburn beat Vanderbilt 21-15 and the fanbase responded by getting mad at a television network. That is roughly where things stand at 3-1: a win that moved the misery needle from 65 down to 47, which is less relief than numbness. The turning point was the final whistle, because nothing before it convinced anyone. The loudest complaint of the week was that the "SECN broadcast is fuckin wack," dark all game. The second loudest was simply, "fuck Hugh Freeze." Victory did not change the subject.
