What happened

Auburn lost to Florida 44-39 on Saturday, dropping to 2-1, and the box score flattered them. The turning point was whenever the game quietly stopped being winnable, somewhere well before the final margin suggested otherwise. One fan warned anyone scanning the scoreboard: "do not let it fool you, it was not that close. Florida easily won." Misery climbed from 55 to 65, mostly on the weight of a thought another fan said out loud, that he may "never see Auburn win a important game ever again." Hope now arrives pre-apologized for.
