A fine first half in Lubbock gave way to first-down runs into a wall, and the room started eyeing basketball.
The emotional rollercoaster
Arizona fans’ misery during the game, every 15 minutes. Up is worse.
What happened
Arizona went from a misery reading of 6 to 77 after a 26-34 loss at Texas Tech, slipping to 6-2. Halftime was the hinge: the mood went from smile to frown, and one fan was "super disappointed with Doege the second half." The most upvoted gripe predicted another attempt to "run it up the middle on first down for no gain." The blocking inspired calls to "put the cheerleaders in." One fan closed with "see you in basketball season," which in Tucson counts as optimism.
