Ten points in Knoxville, Kentucky atop the SEC, and a fanbase left blaming everyone and everything.
The emotional rollercoaster
Alabama fans’ misery during the game, every 15 minutes. Up is worse.
What happened
Alabama went to Knoxville and lost 10-26, dropping to 5-2 and sinking the misery index from 78 to 89. The turning point was simple and ugly: Tennessee's defense arrived with a plan, and as one fan put it, "we couldn't adjust." Ten points on the road will do that. Meanwhile, the standings offered their own cruelty, with Kentucky sitting atop the SEC at midseason. One fan summed up the performance as "the equivalent of wet paper towels," then blamed everyone and everything. Hard to argue either point.
