Week 13 · 2025–26 season
Commanders
L 26-27 vs Broncos · Nov 30, 2025
Misery Index · Meh
Commanders fans torn between pride in the fight, fury at the refs, and a unanimous verdict that Joe Whitt has to go.
The emotional rollercoaster
Fan misery across the game window. Up is worse.
What happened
M.Mariota found D.Samuel for 38 yards down to the 2, then threaded a 3-yard touchdown to T.McLaurin to pull within one with under three minutes in overtime — and then the two-point try to J.McNichols fell incomplete. The fight was real, the McLaurin grab will live on highlight reels, and the officiating will be relitigated all week. None of that changes a one-point loss that hinged on a single throw.
