What happened
J.Smith-Njigba turned the afternoon into a personal showcase, breaking it open with a 61-yard score from S.Darnold and tacking on a 32-yard catch-and-run to set up more, all conveniently in front of Shane Waldron. The pass rush did its part too, with D.Lawrence and the L.Williams/U.Nwosu sack tandem keeping T.Lawrence uncomfortable. Twenty points against Jacksonville isn't exactly a statement, though, and the ground game remains a problem nobody seems closer to solving.
