What happened
Seventeen-point win, Z.Charbonnet running through Carolina on the 25-yard burst and the goal-line score, and the defense bailing out S.Darnold after his deep ball to J.Smith-Njigba was picked off at the goal line. Thirteen wins is real, and the franchise-record 14th is sitting right there. Still, S.Darnold turning the ball over against a 4-win team isn't the kind of January tune-up that quiets anyone.
