The M.Sweat strip-sack of M.Rudolph at midfield in the third flipped this game, and the final possession — capped by an incomplete short left to D.Metcalf with 21 seconds left — confirmed everything fans feared about the quarterback decision. A K.Gainwell 56-yard touchdown off a direct snap to Co.Heyward and an N.Herbig scoop-and-score in the end zone should have been enough. Instead, the lingering question is why the offense kept shrinking when the moment got bigger.
