What happened
J.Fields finished with negative passing yards and got sacked four times in the WPA-relevant snaps alone, including the killer at NYJ 44 with 1:14 left that all but ended it. The defense did its job — J.Johnson's sack of B.Nix at the DEN 11 gave the offense a window it couldn't crack. When the fanbase is openly praising Steve Wilks as the lone bright spot, the quarterback conversation has already moved past whether and into when.
