Fan misery across the game window. Up is worse.
What happened
T.Shough's fourth-quarter interception, returned 59 yards by D.Alford to the NO 27, swung the game when the Saints had every chance to steal one in Atlanta. The earlier blocked punt and the J.Johnson fumble after a 19-yard catch made the two-point margin feel inevitable in hindsight. Officiating gripes aside, a two-point loss that hands the division a tiebreaker is the kind of finish that lingers longer than Week 18 should.
