Patriots fans toasting a 45-17 beatdown of Vegas while quietly checking if D.Maye's deep ball is actually real.

The emotional rollercoaster

Fan misery across the game window. Up is worse.

What happened

D.Maye carved up the Raiders from the opening drive — the 35-yard strike to D.Douglas, the pinpoint seam to H.Henry at the 1, dime after dime — and the Patriots turned a 3-1 division opponent into roadkill, 45-17. The fanbase is allowing itself a cautious exhale after talking spread-the-ball balance and constant pressure, though a 26 misery score after a 28-point win says the trust isn't fully rebuilt yet. One week doesn't erase the memory of needing it to.
