The emotional rollercoaster

Fan misery across the game window. Up is worse.

What happened

J.McCarthy's first home start unraveled exactly how the loudest skeptics feared: a strip-sack by Z.Harrison opening the fourth quarter, a B.Bowman interception in the second, and a near-fumble on his own that K.Elliss almost cashed in. The 50-yard strike to J.Jefferson hinted at what the offense could be, but six points at home against Atlanta raises the obvious question — is the staff protecting him, or hiding him?
