M.Mims taking a punt 48 yards to the house in the second quarter flipped a one-score game and the Raiders never quite got the air back, despite B.Bowers hauling in an early G.Smith score. Settling for a field goal down seven late will get filed alongside every other decision that defined this stretch. The grim consolation: a 17-24 loss to a contender keeps the draft math friendly, which is apparently where the optimism lives now.
