What happened
Stafford found C.Parkinson deep right with 43 seconds left for the go-ahead score, but the only reason that drive mattered was a blocked Carolina punt recovered by R.Rivers at the LA 30 minutes earlier. A three-point escape over Carolina, after letting B.Young hit J.Coker for 52 and scramble in from 16, is not the kind of win that settles anything. The defense remains the open question heading forward.
