What happened

K.Fairbairn's 49-yarder at the horn is the kind of ending that doesn't bruise so much as linger, especially after T.Hunter's end-zone interception of C.Stroud with under four minutes left felt like the game being handed back. Then came C.Stroud to N.Collins for 21, W.Marks for 19, and suddenly the stop never came. Fans are blaming the stripes, and the complaints aren't baseless, but the defense also couldn't close when it mattered twice.
