Down 14-0 after C.McCaffrey punched it in and B.Purdy picked apart the secondary early, the Falcons needed something to break their way — and got it when M.Smith jarred the ball loose from K.Black and G.Dexter fell on it. From there, J.Bates and K.Daniels took turns robbing Purdy, and the home crowd got to watch Shanahan's unbeaten run end. The 14-point hole should probably linger longer than the win does.
