What happened
Two games, two moods. The 3-4 home loss to Boston had the board sharpening knives for the bench boss, one fan flatly declaring "Arniel is a fool, I will never like him coaching this team," another warning the decision not to fire him "will come back to haunt us." Thursday's 3-2 win in Detroit was the turn, enough to quiet things, though an Oilers fan wandered in to chirp anyway. Elsewhere the lineup talk raged: "Lambert is wasted on the third line." Relief, not joy, and only until Saturday.
