The turning point came at home, a 3-4 loss to the Islanders that one fan filed under a new curse: "last year they couldnt win in regulation, this year they cant win in OT." Washington absorbed the response, 5-1, with "shabby, kappy and yurov all in front of Ovi." Misery dropped from 46 to 36, which in Minnesota passes for a parade.
