What happened

The week opened sideways in Dallas, a 2-3 loss that had someone grumbling about "this bullshit soft benching of young guys at the end of games" from Marco. Then came Hockey Fights Cancer Night, and the 6-0 flattening of Nashville turned the mood entirely: one fan recovering from breast cancer said the boys in black and gold "did not disappoint." San Jose followed, 6-4, with two donkey kong fights thrown in. At 2-1, with Zadorov penalty-free and Swayman above criticism, misery dropped to 26. Boston, briefly, has nothing to complain about.
