What happened
The Spurs went 3-0, climbing to 4-2, and the fanbase responded by filing grievances. A 130-103 rout of Sacramento produced instant devotion to Tarris Reed Jr., but the 117-111 win in Utah became the week's turning point: Wemby logged 39 minutes, and fans wanted Kornet "out to pasture." Even after beating Minnesota 121-111, the coach was branded "incompetent." Misery fell from 71 to 48, proof that in San Antonio an unbeaten week mostly buys better material for complaining about minutes.
