What happened
Three wins to open the season, and Philadelphia briefly forgot how to be miserable. The 106-100 at New York was "best opening day ever," Celtics and Knicks losses included. Cleveland fell 114-106 with the crowd singing. Then Embiid's triple-double carried a 127-116 over Milwaukee, proof that "a healthy Embiid is better than most Hall of Fame Centers." The turn came Sunday: no Embiid, a 93-106 loss to Detroit, and one fan reduced to "I hate Duncan Robinson so freaking much." 3-1, and already the math is ominous.
