Ty Jerome dropped 45 on Utah in the 123-103 opener and immediately had people campaigning for MIP, All-Star, MVP, in that order of escalation. The turning point was Golden State: a 111-108 escape that produced more paranoia about officiating than joy, before Sacramento fell 123-112. At 3-0, the prevailing sentiment was "the most fun I've had as a fan since 2022," said with one eye on the exit.
