The emotional rollercoaster

Fan misery across the week, every six hours. Up is worse. Dashed lines are games.

Worst game: Sun, Nov 1, L 90-98 vs Brooklyn Nets

In-game fan misery, every 15 minutes.

What happened

Indiana went 0-4 and sank to 2-5, and early on the referees took the blame. After the 109-114 loss to Philadelphia, fans wrote "This officiating is blowing my mind"; after the 125-145 rout in Miami, "Siakam could get stabbed and they wouldn't call a foul." The turning point was the 90-98 home loss to Brooklyn, where misery hit 95 and nobody bothered blaming whistles. "The state of Indiana sacrificed everything to make this happen," one fan concluded. Another proposed skipping games until the roster heals, the week's most sensible adjustment.
