What happened
Five wins in six, a sweep of the Athletics capped by a 10-1 laugher, and a fanbase counting sweeps like trophies — sixteen, most in the majors, five up on the team they refuse to spell correctly. Junior's walkoff in the 2-1 opener had people demanding an extension by Tuesday. The turn came Friday: a 2-4 loss to Boston where nobody hit with a runner on, and misery spiked to 100 for one night.
