What happened
The week opened with a 1-2 loss in St. Louis that kept the 100-loss math alive, then the Giants scored ten and won 6-5 the next night, and briefly the fanbase remembered what optimism tastes like. Then came Los Angeles. An 8-2 beating, a 10-4 beating, and a 3-1 loss where the only consolation was that Tugboat pitched well. The Dodgers series was the turn, and fans went from relieved to declaring this the worst year in franchise history. Even the garlic fries are reportedly ruined.
