What happened

Three games in Atlanta, one survived. The 3-5 opener set the tone, the 4-3 win in the middle bought a day of hope, and then the 2-6 close ended it, 1-2 and done. The turning point was needing Wheeler on Sunday at all, a consequence fans traced back weeks: "they couldn't win a fucking game when they needed to." Others wondered whether Trea Turner should "repay it to the citizens of Philadelphia." Misery slipped to 68, mostly because there was nothing left to lose.

Kincade's prediction aged beautifully. 😉 "I'm gonna tell you right now. It's this series. Austin Riley will be a contributing factor if the Braves beat the Phillies. Austin Riley will contribute to that because Austin Riley does well against the Phillies."
