What happened
Two wins over Seattle, 6-4 then 2-1, had the fanbase sniffing October elimination that wasn't theirs, and someone floated sweeping the Mariners twice as better than a World Series. The turning point was Friday's 2-7, which ended the fantasy and sent the thread back to itemizing Rendon's $245 million. Minnesota split four, Christian Moore got his flowers, Trout got stranded, and the 0-8 finale landed on 60-96. Misery fell to 47, which here counts as a good week.
