What happened
Utah opened with a 66-14 demolition of Idaho, a scoreline that should have sent everyone home happy and instead sent them to the film room. The turning point wasn't a play so much as a realization: Idaho scored twice, and the fanbase noticed. "Fix the defense," one fan pleaded, warning the Utes "will be burned against a good offense a few times this season if we don't straighten some things out."
