What happened

Kentucky beat Vanderbilt 34-17 and moved to 7-1, which ought to be enough. It wasn't, quite. The turning point came from the replay booth, a call the crew on the field seemed content to wave through, and the reaction was less relief than indignation: "Yeah no shit. Field refs were going to let it slide. What the fuck refs." Elsewhere, fans puzzled over Stein, noting Oregon supporters "were acting like they were glad to be rid of him." Misery climbed anyway. Winning is apparently exhausting.
